It seems that, in the end, what the guy tried to do went to a completely opposite direction. Serves him right.

Yes, terrorism always works like that; not only do they never achieve to obtain what they're after, they almost always succed at strengthening whatever it is they're against.

Norway Cup, the largest football tournament in the world, is kicking off tomorrow in yet another display of togetherness and cooperation across cultural boundaries. There was some question as to whether the whole tournament would be cancelled, but the organizers concluded that the tournament was probably more important now than ever before.

Football unites. :)

I reckon the police suspects that more people might be involved in future threats or not? If so, security should be strengthened in this cup then.

It has been strengthened, but it does look like a one-man job.

Did it overtake NC finally? NC has 30.000 players. But hey.

It has had over 30 000 players for some years now. Interesting week to be in town. Groups of children everywhere.

Hum, what's written on the bus display?

It looks like the bus is asking for help or complaining: "I'm stuck in this traffic!"; "Don't enter, we're stuck in this traffic"; "Can't move, don't you see all these people...in the traffic?!"

What's written is "Not in traffic" - i.e. not enroute anywhere. What happened was that the mass of people made it impossible to move, so the driver just put that sign up and went out to participate in the demo.

The world stands with Norway in this tragic incident... crazy nutters can happen anywhere and use any excuse to do what they do. It's terrible that the only person who did worse to Norway (in the last hundred years) was Hitler.
