Everyone knows cephalopods can't be trusted... what's to say he's not just saying Spain wins so when everyone bets against Holland he'll bet for them and win big?!

Never trust anything without a spine, that's what i always say.

Well, I just saw a seal and a parrot predict different outcomes, so ... :D

Hey, I predicted the outcome between Germany and Spain correctly; so don't put your money on the octopus

On the Dutch news, a psychic South African lady said the Netherlands would be world champion. In another interview, a caster of bones-and-shells-and-small-rubbish predicted a 2-0 score for coming Sunday.
I'm convinced!

The Dutch will pull off the win on Sunday, in spite of what Paul the Octopus says. Paul has been continuously drunk on his new-found fame … thus his faulty prediction that Spain would win. ;|

Yeah, and we played 4 matches in history, we never lost to them. 3 wins and 1 tie, so it should be doable...

Good match between Germany and Uruguay right now ... 2-2 and still 15 minutes to go. :)

Nice game. Bronze matches usually are. Why don't they have them in the European championship?

I think they will in 2012. But hey, bronze again; that's three medals in three tries for the Germans. :)

The previous tournament, Paul predicted every match correctly. Except the final!

Half time now, and Spain had the upper hand at the start. It seems the tides are turning somewhat though

Good first half despite the lack of goals. Webb could easily have given out two reds instead of yellows, and the Dutch had better watch out ...

I hope we get a goal early in the second half, to spice it all up even more. Preferably to Spain, so that the Dutch are forced to attack. :)

It is possible De Jong kicked the life out of Spain. 8|

Now both Robben and Villa have missed chances they both will want back :nervous:

Pretty much a battle, this. Proper fighting - a wonder no one has been sent off yet. Second time in history the final has ended 0-0, but unlike the final in -94, this one has had plenty of action.

Looking forward to the extra time, and eager to see someone sent off ... :oex:

Congrats to Spain, close-fought match with a ton of yellow cards and a worthy winner. :applause:

The ref was excellent in this difficult match; the teams had a bad, angry tone between them throughout.

Drunk or not, I guess the prediction of Paul the Octopus was right on this time.

Congratulations España!

Worthy winner; Holland managed to kill the spanish play for along time, even if it wasn't pretty, but in the end, Spain did manage to play more constructive.

Congratulations to Spain, condoleances Netherlands, who still is the best team never to win the World Cup.
