Those Ivorians doesn't play very nice... And now we know a referee who won't get any more matches.

Relax, getting screwed over by the referee means you're in the big leagues now... enjoy it while it lasts. We went from beating Argentina 3-2 in 1994 to not even making it to the world cup...

But if it weren't for Jack Daniel's whiskey and country music, no one would have ever heard of my home either.

Many maps of the US place Alaska and Hawaii to the south of the rest of the states just to fit them in. I've had high school students convinced that was where they were actually located. :|

Back on topic, how about the French, Irish eyes must be laughing. :D

Umm, so the USA played so poorly in the first half that we should be so lucky to get screwed out of a win by a missed call.

So, did anyone expect Brazil-Cote d'Ivoire to end any other way?!

Did they also think that the US was placed in a void?!

Italy failed to beat New Zealand last night, and so I'm laughing my ass off. Schadenfreude? You bet.

Not as much as I'm laughing of France failing to beat South Africa today and finishing last in the group. Teeheee. :D

I'd say I'm sorry for South Africa not going further, but if that is gonna save us from some vuvuzela's in at least a couple of future matches, it's all not that bad. Meanwhile the virus is spreading: as of yesterday I've seen the first vuvuzela's walking the streets of Brussels. :p

Well deserved. France have been utter rubbish in every way, and deserve neither praise nor acknowledgement for their participation in this year's event. I hope Domenec never gets another coaching job and that Blanc kicks out 97 % of the players from the next France squad.

I hope France gives South Africa a big concrete statue.

Today all those stuck teams seem to find their way out of this mess! Even Germany can be thrown off - which would be somewhat bizarre...

Well the goal was in over-time... the rules tend to be less binding then...

Too bad England also won... they really didn't deserve it based on their performance against the US and Algeria. At least France got what they played for.

Heh, Denmark fell as well (it even rhymes).

Japan was impressive today.

Also, New Zeeland should be happy wit htheir World Cup: everyone expected that they should be there for other teams to practise their shooting, but they actually managed to tie all their games, and ended up ahead of Italy :applause:
