Actrualy it's the dome that's the most amazing part and what it's famous for.

Well, I thought about that, but the dome is exactly 31 meters in diameter, which is pretty darn close to the clue, so I thought it worth a shot.

Both are right. Actually, the size fits perfectly. But I didn't post it because of the reason mentioned. Anyway, let's see what comes up. I don't have a better idea either...

So, it disappeared in 1653. Interestingly Taj Mahal was built in 1653. Could it be a coincidence 8| Maybe, but maybe not. Maybe Taj Mahal was built in place of that something? But that something is a great wonder?! Just thinking out loud...

Well, yeah it sounds funny. I meant its construction was finished in 1653
As a side note, construction of Taj Mahal lasted 22 years!!!

But, then what's this white great wonder that disappeared in 1653? :?

Maybe you should consider the possibility that this structure is not one of the 7 great wonders.... It might be a giant white razorblade !

I've been working on this, but all my suggestions either exist today, cannot be found on the web (picture) or do not fit the shape requirement... :(

Not the Leaning Tower of Pisa. And I should clarify that hint: there was a period of 353 years when it didn't exist. It wasn't meant to imply that it doesn't exist today...
