Why is it that whenever things are going great, someone has to come along and screw it all up?!! :mad:

They have some good deals at micro center. Most of their video cards come with a mail in rebate. I know I got 30 dollars back on my Geforce, Which wasn't too bad at all since it was only $80 dollars

But if i get a brand new video card, doesn't that matter i got to replace ALOT of parts of my PC to let it function normally? Since old stuff with a super video cart won't match.

Yes, it kinda does matter. You should save money to get some, at least basic, today computer.

btw new cards are using pci express slot 16x whereas you have only agp - there are only few cards left to fit nowaday

[q=""]Example of pc:
  • case (mostly can be used an old one)
  • dvd-mechanic (not really a core, if it can read DVDs it's good)
  • mb - would personally prefer to pick up something for amd > Try this one
  • cpu - depends on what do you want, this may be good. AMD Athlon 635 (quad)
  • some decent hdd and memory ddr3, at least 2GB (4GB is decent)
  • vga - at least ATI HD 5450
  • Perhaps some Arcitc Cooler on CPU good psu(ie cheap seasonic oem could make it - SS-400ET Active PFC) and new os, 7HP could be quite sufficient(however only 7P support 'fully' xp legacy apps.).
