Blueberries I love but what are crowberries? Mulberries are plentiful around these woods.
lacing them with acid
Hmm, Timothy Leary recipe'? :D

I tried growing blueberries a couple of time but midwestern soil is not acidic enough so it was a no-go. I tried the PH powder but didn't help. Must be like using a water-hose versus real rainfall.

These berries are wild. Grown ones aren't the same. Crowberries are probably not plentiful in the american midwest, if I were to guess, and from the wikipedia entry. They are too stony for jam, but make excellent squash. The acid I referred to is citric acid, to help get the juices out without the boiling process.

Sounds quite good, actually. Reasonably sour, I expect? Crammed full of antioxidants? ;)

Quite tangy, yes. Not much sugar, and a bit of honey.

Funny how the teaching profession works. My students are having a test now, so for a couple of hours, I have almost nothing to do. Once they're finished, I'll have a lot to do ...

This place seems a little quieter then when I was last here. Wow. 4 years.

Not really Ethric, unless by implication you mean that I was the centre of this little universe :-).

Hey DF .... how's Holland treating you?

I'm not really back, like before, just popped in for a short while and may disappear again
