Someone around hasn't seen many movies :) Loved the film though.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I added Nah!

The movie is good but not excellent. I wouldn't choose it as "to spend free time with". There are better, with much more thought out background and scenario. The visuals are splendid though. ;)

Very spectacular movie, very anonymous actors. I can't even remember their names, and thats always bad thing...in a movie.
I guess in a few years we will talk to bots in those forums, if Avatar is an example on how things will progress.

What makes you think we're not bots?! :devious:

And Pocahontas was hardly an original story... you people need to watch more films...

In Sure Valla's defense guys, you have to admit that, hadn't had been a Pocahontas movie before (and a few others for the matter), you wouldn't debate the "awesomeness" of the story so much. The story is very well written, just not original. Cameron & the screenwriters don't deserve any credit for originality here, but we gotta give them at least the fact that they made the best out of it (because I've also seen re-used stories just screwed up, in movies which were worse in all aspects as compared to the one they drew "inspiration" from).

I appreciate Avatar in most of its aspects, I just hope Cameron was more honest in regards to where he took his inspiration from. For this reason I couldn't find myself in either of the pretty polarized options of the poll. :p

The story is very well written, just not original.
No, not really... felt very by the numbers (what, mythical hero rode giant pterodactyl thing... gee, i wonder how mighty whitey will get the tree huggers to listen to him)... it simply was competently done... no parts ever sucked, but they never shined either.

No way it deserved Best Film over Inglorious Basterds (haven't seen the other nominees).
