Read my funny modern kung-fu novel online

Um... it isn't heroes related, but yes, it's about heroes...

I've downloaded many a game from here (must be over 200 maps!) I can't make maps, but hopefully my novel will amuse you all!

Hello! I’ve written a humorous kung-fu novel, Kung-fu for Dharmi. No novel is ever complete without readers, so I’ve made torrents on pirate bay. http://thepiratebay.org/search/dharmi/0/99/0

You can also read online at http://dharmi.info or at http://www.scribd.com/charlesjlee

Dharmi’s parents are kung-fu experts who can’t pay their bills. The Creditors foreclose and put a bounty on them. The Collectors defeat and kidnap the couple leaving their children. The kids get picked up by different people. One child is raised by a monk called Ace, who names the boy Dharmi. Ace teaches Dharmi yoga and some self-defense skills.

When Fibster ninjas come after Ace, Dharmi is left to fend for himself. Now Dharmi must travel across The Real World to learn kung-fu at Hard Knox’s school. Along the way he has various adventures...

It’s a thoroughly modern kung-fu epic. I’ve put together everything I like: Asian cultures and spirituality, American folklore and history, European fantasy and adventure quests, humor and satire, computer games and manga, wordplay and Easter eggs.

This is a great book to start if you have never read the Eastern wuxia (martial arts) genre!

Here’s a random passage:

“People are coming. In sneaky fashion,” Ace spoke tersely.

As Ace spoke, a tiny wire flew in through the window. Normal people would not have detected it, much less intercepted the wire before it attached itself to the opposite wall. Ace saw the wire, struck it and sent it flying back out of the window. All done within the blink of an eye.

“Ninjas!” Ace rasped, his face turning pale.

“Ace?”

To his credit, Ace did not lose his status as a mentor. “This is the wiretap skill. The Fibsters use this to travel and sneak into homes!”

Another wire came flying in. Dharmi did not even have time to think before Ace employed his Ping-Pong Swat again and sent the wire flying out of the house.
