Here's a thing you're allowed to stereotype: don't expect that kind of action from the overwhelming majority of people in charge... :disagree:

Wait a minute! Romania is NOT a communist country.

That's 'cause it doesn't work.

Of course, there are days when I don't think democracy works either. But that's another story.

I don't really think that they've thought up a truely GOOD method of government. I don't think they ever will. Let's face it, in any group of people, there are bound to be someone who is unhappy with the situation. There will never be 'perfection' because that's an ideal, a goal, that can never be truely experianced.

It is "Karyll". He would yell for this one too.
Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.

Well maybe if they'd actually have tried making a viable economy instead of killing everyone they saw as a threat and building big useless monuments to prove their superiority over capitalism it might have. Now well never know (unless you care to count Israel).

He yelled all the time, so that wouldn't make any difference.

I wonder if he's still a virgin. That fact used to bother him a lot. :D

Karyll never yelled at me about my horrid spelling. HE was a gentleman.

Unlike the rest of you rabble.

I miss him a lot. Wonder what happened to him.

-------------Hmmmm-------------------

I thought I had a picture of him hidden away somewhere. Sadly, I can't find one at the moment.

Stop it with the stereotypes, will you please?
Well, it's hard for them to stop with stereotypes as long as Vel is feeding them pictures of Gypsies and garages telling people those are houses we live in (can't believe people bought it).

@Vel: if you're gonna bull**** about Romania more often than... once a month let's say... I'm gonna start reporting you. No offence, but we just talked about it and two weeks in a row is just too often. ;p

About the buildings though there's not much thing I can say in our defense though, except maybe few things:
- After the war destroyed everything, sth had to be built fast for the people to have roof
- I guess we also have to thank Roosevelt and the western powers for selling us to the Stalin after the war against our will, which triggered 50 years of communism, no Marshall plan aso.
- Although things are getting better now in Romania (indeed not communist anymore Scarlett) - with people having enough money for a decent life (food, clothes and all basic stuff), we still don't all have that much money for the luxury of redecorating and rebuilding everything.

Yeah, if we did that then all those nice villas would remain unfinished.

And instead of reporting Vel how about posting some pictures of better parts of the country?

Very beautiful country indeed Zamolxis! :D

That building in the first pic looks like the American White House (the capitol building of the United States).

Is that a floating house in that other pic? 8|

That one pic of the city has reminded me why i love to live in the country ;).

Thanks. And you're right about the first building. But if I may proudly add - no offence to the other fellow Americans here - IMHO (and at least from some pov) the Romanian Atheneum looks a bit better than the White House:

The White House is however more special through what it represents. ;)

Not really floating, but pretty much on the lake. It's nice to spend the night there and wake up in the mourning surrounded by water, fresh air and mountains. :)
