Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.

Spanish Lesson 3:Simple Sentences

I apologize for my erratic posting of the lessons Vel, but here's another lesson for your enjoyment. :D

Since I can't keep you on words forever (well I could...but I won't ;)), let's start making some sentences.

A simple sentence needs to have a verb.
Otherwise, it's just a huge phrase...here's an example in English:

Barbarian, of the same tribe, blue skinned.
(Ok, so it doesn't make a lot of sense, but it drives the point home. It's not a sentence...no verb.)

So, a simple sentence in Spanish needs several things:

1. An article (He, she...etc.)
2. A verb

Now, you could have the sentence: He rides.
It's kind of dull though...so you should have a noun.

He rides a horse.

Said in Spanish:

El corre un caballo.

Now that's a sentence.

Let's make some sentences with the words we've already used before, shall we? :D
If I add new words, I'll define them. :)

1. El fue al baño.

Fue = Went
By extension...Ir = Go
Al = To (the)

2. Ella bebió agua.

3. Nosotros fuimos al carro.

Fuimos - Went (however, in this case, it's plural...because it wouldn't make sense to write Nosotros fue al carro)

4. Tú comes comida.

(The sentence itself is redundant...because it's kinda like saying, you drink a drink. However, it serves it's purpose well. ;))

comes = eat (as in You eat)

@Vel: There you go! Hope it helps! :)

Nici nu stiu cata responsabilitate isi asuma ai nostri... e foarte aiurea ca majoritatea chestiilor despre religia crestina organizata pe care le stiu din surse contemporane e despre catolici si protestanti...
