Sure, depends on the amount of knowledge you possess, and the amount of idiocy you're prepared to swallow.

Unless it's only possible to travel forward in time; or unless there's a lot of laws against time travelling, and that we wouldn't notice people fro mthe future when they arrived. Who knows? Perhaps they are here already... :devious:

Borrowed Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 1.

I've always wanted to get into one of the ST series, but never really acted on it. I've only seen a few ST episodes here and there, mostly Voyager.

I'm sure this won't be no Farscape or Babylon 5, but I hope it's good nonetheless.

It has nothing to do with time travel making sense. It's ALWAYS going to be rife with paradox. That's ok if it's done well. But in that episode of lost it just felt forced and stupid. "The only way you can prevent your brain from exploding is to meet your girlfriend in the future and the past." I mean, come on. That's pretty dumb.

@Corribus

See, what i got from it was that he was slowly going unhinged... in his head...
stress is proven to harm you physically... so i didn't see it more silly then Locke being able to walk unless he's doubting or Boone needs to die.

Yeah, i heard this crazy thing about aging and time passing too...

How many laws do you know that aren't being broken daily?!

Voyager is good too!
Not what i heard... or saw (the Doctor is great though, Robert Picardo ftw)

Aaah, it's the one where Q comes to find Amanda, the young Q girl who's been raised as a human. I love it.

Heheee... Q got a hiding from Beverly, and he turned her into a dog, barking and barking at him, and then she turned back into herself, never having noticed :-D

Isn't Q the "guy", demi-god really, that appears in the very first episode? I thought it strange that they included a pretty convoluted plot like that in the pilot episode. Anyhow, the guy creeps me out.

Yeah, that's him. Q tried to explain to Amanda what the Q are:

Q: "We're omnipotent."
Amanda: "And what do you do with that power?"
Q: "Anything we want."

The plot in the episode is that an omnipotent Q can't choose to be half-and-half. Either be a Q, or live as a mortal without using your powers. Amanda chose to be Q as she couldn't resist using her powers to help people. Q also explained the continuum's reasons for wanting to determine Amanda's fate; they couldn't let an omnipotent being roam the universe freely without control.
Picard challenged Q on his moral compass; claiming the Q didn't have much of a morality to brag about (prompting Q to say he was only ever visiting Picard to hear his great speeches :D ), but at least they could agree that in the end Amanda would have to make the choice herself.

For me, the introduction of Q was where the Trek series "jumped the shark". I absolutely loath the character and the whole premise.
Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.

So you think TNG jumped the shark in the first episode? :|
