Speaking of Mr. Bean, have you seen Sharpe? Lots of today-famous people popping up while still in their early careers.

I wonder if you guys saw which actress was chosen to cast Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones Season 2?

Here you can check which ones were being considered. Gwendoline Christie was picked (does she know that Brienne was supposed to be a freak? :) ), but when I saw that Evan Damen picture, it was just what I pictured in mind.

It's a wonderful thing that the ugly characters in this story become uglier still at every passing moment, getting maimed, tortured, or else just starving to skin and bones. It's like there's no good in the book at all.

And here we have who'll be playing Stannis and Melisandre. Melisandre is quite alike what I had in mind. Stannis might have some make up to become more gaunt and stern.

The Onion Knight, Davos, was the last to be picked. Davos was one of the characters I didn't had given face while imagining the scenes.

Yeah, it was, but I enjoyed it. The mini-series format seems to fit the Torchwood crew better than the standards seasons.

Also, Eve Myles is hot.

Does she have crooked teeth, this Eve woman? Almost all of her pictures have her with a simpering smile. It's so damn odd.

About series, The Walking Dead will be returning soon? There's this issue with young actors when the series start to drag for a long time...

I was glad to see Nat Tena - she's completely normal and not Hollywood-esque at all. :)

Yeah, the original Dr. Who was in serial form too...

BTW, just found out what the story behind the name Torchwood is... it's what they labelled the Dr. Who reels to keep them secret... and it's an anagram... man, i wish i didn't suck at anagrams so much...

I'm moving on to Ashes to Ashes. I'd decided not to watch it, since I hate sequels and I loved the first series (Life on Mars) ... but I guess I should get on with it since it's really carrying on the story of the first series. LoM intentionally left some loose ends that are resolved in AtA, so ... here goes.

Just watched the first episode of V, expecting great things since both Baccarin and Tudyk are in it. Disappointed with the predictability and did some quick Wiki-reading to find the whole plot of the miniseries on which the current series is based. What do you know, I've seen this kind of thing at least three times before ... :bored:

Watched its all 2 seasons last few weeks. Nothing special and was quick cancelled. Besides, doing remake of old 80' serial is not always good thing.

Yes - part of what made the new Battlestar Galactica great was its unpredictability ...
