it doesn't matter what else is there Milla, they just love the roses, they reduce them to sticks

but we have some fencing now, so that should help to keep the buggers out .... but they can jump straight over a 2m high fence, so it's more of a deterrent than actual proper protection

We've done a lot of these before, but let's remember not turn this into a political argument:

Test your political orientation -- liberal/conservative, authoritarian/libertarian

I came out as a liberal/libertarian, about the same as Dalia Lama.

It's a sad reflection on our society that something as basic as drinking water is now a bottled, branded consumer product.
How does one answer this when it's not happening were he is?

I remember the sound of gunshots... and laying down on the floor to avoid stray bullets. Then again most of the sound was prob fake, and most of the shootings were friendly fire and people being confused.

As for propaganda, that thing was retarded even for a 6y old. Never really liked singing those stupid songs.

Except it didn't. Czechoslovakia and DDR got rid of communism in peaceful ways, for example.

It happened in 1989. Here's a link in the Wikipedia for more information, but the article has a "factual accuracy disputed" tag on it.

Are you guys kiding? We're like the only country where people actualy died when communism fell. At least in Europe.
While the Romanian Revolution was unfolding, other Central and Eastern European nations were peacefully making the transition to non-communist, multiparty democracy; Romania was the only Eastern Bloc country to violently overthrow its Communist regime or to execute its leaders.
The funny thing is that after it was over the "terrorists" people were shooting at vanished... :disagree: Less people died before the commies were overthrown then after:
The total number of deaths in the Romanian Revolution was 1,104, of which 162 were in the protests that led to the overthrow of Nicolae Ceauşescu (16-22 December 1989) and 942 in the fighting that occurred after the seizure of power by the new political structure National Salvation Front (FSN). The number of wounded was 3,352, of which 1107 occurred while Ceauşescu was still in power and 2,245 after the National Salvation Front took power [1].
