upg sharpshooters "arrows"

I'm working on a new arrow design for lava and arctic sharpshooters. Quite frankly because I don't like the ones that were included with them. I have been designing new ones, and searched in the lod files for the current ammo, but can't find where they are stored. can anyone find them? A file name please?

Here's a couple images of my first drafts for the arrows. See if you can guess which is which and tell me what you think.

Take in mind this is a rough draft and is due to changes either making the look simpler or more unique. What do you all think?

They are there somewhere, hidden in the def file, animated. Where exactly I don't know here is too much files, but perhaps you may try to search for *arr* or like that. (Yes. In resedit is search function.)

hm... you could extract all files and then start looking through them all, starting from files with smallest size. Since arrows aren`t big, their files should be one of the smallest...

In h3sprite.lod see under p. And don't ask me what have arrows common with p letter. It will be one of these> pelfx, pmedusx, plcbowx, pplizax probably. No evidence for special arrow for sharpshooters so I would assume that they are sharing arrows with elves...

Such arrows wouldn't even fly far, not for sharpshooters :disagree:

P huh? I'll see what comes up. Thanx for the input guys. As far as I know, they don't share arrows with elves. Arctic and Lava Sharpshooters both shoot a recolored light ball (like zealots) from their bows.

Yup, that cleared things a little, so:
zshot195.def - artic sharpshooter
& I didn't found lava arrow till yet... it should be next, but (shared like pure sharpshooter, could be... dont' know with whom) .... instead I bring you ico what happened when he hit the necorpolis... ;)

: It seems to me that you can change ice shot without problem, but all others must be added by WoG team to be really used. If they will be good, we will try (mostly depends on our programmers though...)

I think that the shots used by the sharpshooters are shared, I can't find any unique ones for them.

ZSHOT195.DEF is for the Dracolich, that was one that I made.

By the way, those proposed arrow gfx are waaay too high resolution. The existing arrows have shafts that are only 2 pixels wide and a total length of about 30.

I know they're high res. I'm going to tone them down. First I wanna get a few rough ideas though. It's easy to tone them down. So they all share huh? Would it be possible to change that at all? (through erm maybe?) I wouldn't want to mess up gogs or other creature's ranged attacks.

I'm afraid that ERM will not be sufficient. Direct intervence into game will be needed, if I'm wrong, someone repair me, please..
