@Pol

You want rare Acropole to strengthen your first wave and prioritize the shrines fitting the colors of the creatures you put there, Leg Acropole is also good for offense (i can beat a few much stronger Kingdoms than mine thanks to this). Your initial choice of in which order according to what you have and what you need is the main focus of the strategy.

Seeing Angelito and die. No, not seriously, I decided not to attack him, wouldn't have sense for now. As many VIPsters, he is having 4d DA fully awakened at the top.

I noticed him around 3k. So little these (after kingdoms) times. Before the best were over 7k. Which reminds me that pre-previously (time is running really fast) I seen Belle on the top and I kinda guess that she won it. :D

(I mean the top is still 7-14k but it's just overcrowded. There are many players which could make it here but don't, generally because time is a big issue.)

Sometime I also met some MoS members, so hi HoP!

Kingdoms allows different setups, that's interesting. And it still true that I cannot beat people with higher Kingdom than me. Thankfully my castle matured to LVL20, which is important milestone.

ATM using shields, mostly because big fishes like "5+3=8 (from Stickers, player lvl 500)". I just hate these visits, the shield is the only defense for me here.

They already use her. The most favourite top line is now Nymph, Owl & Mask, Statue. In no particular order. If they have it 4d I cannot pass yet, 3d is usually too late. Which means that I won't use it in mine. Lol, it's a lottery. :D

Curious if I will met some defensively built dungeons. Not much likely because they need 4d Pegasus and that one is large.

BTW that's not so strong, rightly timed Ogre can break that line.

Phew. Then I suppose I'll stick with that 4d statue :D

Just battled a dungeon nymph for.the first time. Man, those are annoying indeed! Kind of untouchable because of the final awakening means they're free to stun you throughout the round. Sounds rather overpowered..??

Got a challenge progress reward for ..just for defending. Kinda funny. I'm not using shields this time as previously I ended a few positions after 200, which rendered all my effort useless.

Yes, nymphs changed the game balance, everyone now call for a red killers. :D
Anyway I simply love Phoenixes, served frozen.

Shields have some of a profound effect on the game dynamic. Previously, when you were coming to the top, you were met with impassable wall of defense. Now it's more reminding swiss cheese.

What exactly does dungeon shield do?

AFAIK it prevents you attacking other dungeons, and losing points when a defense fails (though I guess the attacker still gets points when they win)... Does it provide any defense bonus?

Speaking of which, when do you lose points when you lose? I know you need to be wiped out completely, and you don't seem to be penalised for attacking a higher prestige opponent or a revenge attack.

My guess is that you lose points when you attack and lose outright to a dungeon that is shielded, or attack and lose outright to a lower prestige opponent that is not a revenge attack.

Btw: I take it that a revenge attack does not trigger a revenge opportunity?

If you buy the shield - then you are protected from lose of prestige points, when someone defeats you (your dungeon). But as well, you are forbidden to attack other dungeons. Otherwise, you will lost the shield.

This allows you to collect points by attacking others and then buy the shield, to get a sleep. And prevent points lost, if you will be defeated/revenged.

Yes, that's what I thought. One effective measure is attack five times then go back to your main menu.

The first time you go back to the main menu each GMT day with low challenge points you seem to get an option to buy 5 challenge points for 10 diamonds.

Attack five more times and slap on the 5 hour dungeon shield and regenerate. :)

Also, when you get low on energy/tickets/tokens/creature space you can get the option to buy more once a day for each.

AFAIK this can only happen once a day for each of challenge points/energy/tickets/tokens/creature space "low" states.

Pretty smart, hey. :) That's why it's always good to have 25-30 diamonds on hand for this.

It can happen more than once a day, but I feel that it takes a few hours (and a new low state) to get another chance to roll. :)

Actually, yes, this is a safe method like to hoard almost as many challenge points as you wish.
(Like now I spend 30 from my storage, they last quite a while for 60 days.)

However, most likely same like QC, at some moment, you won't be offered any more. And be put on hold, ..so to say.

What decides what Dungeon appears to attack? I take it that the game randomly chooses an Active Dungeon from that player, and the same for Revenge attacks?

For the first part yes, for the second I think so too but never have a need to verify that. Now, it actually may be a good idea, to fill up also other dungeons. They push you to that really strong.

I know that you can't choose which dungeon to attack... in return for needing a lot more, varied and high levelled units of all sizes, you now get greater special ability activation chance for ALL your dungeon creatures, as well as the Boss Stun Immunity and Boss Silence Immunity which already existed for having 4 and 5 Dungeons activated respectively, but were not enough on their own to warrant having more dungeons active.
