I'm not sure how they extrapolated the H5 pallete swap from the artwork and especially don't know where the giant shoulder pads came from, but all I have to say is **** this kind of voting.

OP you are lucky to be surrounded by a CROWD of people IRL who are interested in this. Kind of surprised that they would walk away from the franchise so readily tho, I thought older people are more nostalgic.

I got the bundle after all the fixes last time, but it's been too long, I think I'm going to get it as soon as it comes out, burn through the game and wait for the patches before replay & make mods.

Vampires and liches got their 3D model now.

Vampire's attack is just like I thought it would be. Clawing then leaking his hand.

Than it's a good thing they attack with their hand...

Not looking a lot like a BLOOD MONSTER, though. ;|

Liches are just generic.

Release is soon and here are the things, big picture:

- good map editor
- crappy skill system
- boring magic system
- lame hero specs
- redundant creature abilities

Btw, I find the new Lich and Vampire lightyears better than what they originally planned to deliver.

Well, we don't know if editor is good. Is looking good, that's quite different perspective. And also we are pleased by the random generator promise (while it should be automatically in, no Heroes game should be released without one). And still not a single detail about modding capabilities, can we replace creatures, add new, towns, artifacts, editor scripts and all that stuff which makes a good game, you know.

Fair enough, though it seems they put a lot of effort in it, hence my assumption, but you're right we don't know for sure yet.

In H3-H4, you need max of 3 clicks from one object to another, no matter the column (2 for H3, 3 for H4). in H5 you need sometimes 6-10 clicks. (H6 I don't know). Less clicks, better the editor is, the wrong move designers often do is mixing together the scripting part with the object selection. You should be able to fulfill the map with ease, then start the scripting part in a different column.

No one would believe this game is 2015 with the graphics this game has. It doesn't have to be high tech, but it does need to be good, which it is not.

Hater!

Although I agree with you on the "needs to be good" part. HV was so far away in time...

I'm not a big fan of the alien hydra (I want snake heads too), but the vampire and lich are a huuuuuge improvement.
