After the installation of HoF 2.1 patch, mods don't work!

Unread postby ^Dagon^ » 10 Mar 2009, 15:57

I installed the 2.1 HoF patch and mods I have made don't work anymore! I checked their properties and their modification time is later than the 2.1 patch, yet they simply don't work.

Can you help me a bit?

Ah but the files inside the mods are newer than the ones from 2.1?

The mod files are newer than the patch files. To be more specific I will give an example:

Landlord.xdb (MOD)

Created: 25/9/2008
Modified: 25/9/2008

Landlord.xdb (patch)

Created: 10/3/2009
Modified: 27/1/2007

In such a case, isn't the MOD file supposed to work on top of the patch file?

How can a file be modified before it's created?
In War: Resolution, In Defeat: Defiance, In Victory: Magnanimity, In Peace: Goodwill.

Creation time is the time you copy the file from one source to another.

Modification time is the time of the original file's creation. This doesn't change no matter how many times you copy the file. The only way to change this is to use a time stamp editor.

Or to edit it :P

Hmm, are your mods .h5m files and placed in the Maps folder?

Isn't this just for TotE?

I thought common *.pak files would do the job as in HOMM standard and HoF 2.0.

I know the LOTA modding stuff is included as maps for HoF.

Anyway I had problems with the HoF modding until someone showed me to package the gamemechanics folder.

No, TotE has .h5u files placed in UserMODs folder :)

But yes .paks in the data folder also should work.
