Bugged maps in HoF.

When I try to play one of the old maps (not Hof) with Fortress, I start with no hero and in the town's tavern there is never a Runemage to hire. Is this a bug? Is there a way to fix it?

Yes that's a bug with HoF 2.0. Just patch it to 2.1
No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.
