Nature's Luck

I've been wondering about this ability, pretty much since I got the game several months ago. It says that units always have luck rolled, but isn't that the case anyway? Is it similar to Soldier's luck i.e. two checks? I thought it was for the hero's attack (since the Ranger actually has a reason to use it) until I noticed it says "units".

Very confusing.

Every attack done by your units will be a lucky one. Seeing as Elven Luck is one of the skills you need, the damage done by your army is phenomenal!

That's a hell of a lot better than I was thinking it was, due in a small part to me not knowing what it was, but due msotly to me now thinking "wow, that's incredibly cheap".

The path to it doesn't seem that bad, either.
