Aura bug

Unread postby templar414 » 18 Nov 2007, 16:15

I've finished prologue mission and necromancer campaign in ToTE and in both cases all of my heroes had wizard's aura (instead of orc's or necromancer's). Can someone tell me what can I do to fix this?

Maybe you accidentally checked special hero trail. If you have uncheck it.

I think he meant the aura around the hero.
"Rage against the system, the system, what kills the human spirit."

no, I don't mean the special hero trail - I mean the aura around the hero... necromancer has green, orc brown, knight orange, wizard has blue one. Well, I have the blue aura on my heroes regardless of the faction. It's not big deal, but it would be nice if everyone had their designated auras...

See how the special aura that is a "bonus" for certain game versions looks:

Under game options you should be able to deactivate it and have the ordinary aura.

I had this same problem and figured it out by accident.

What you have to do is go into the Options and then Game menu. There you will see an option called Special Hero trail. Make sure that is not checked. That will turn on the specific faction auras.

Apparantly Nival doesn't understand the difference between the words Aura and Trail since looking at it clearly would indicate it should be an option for that smoke trail that follows the hero, not the circle underneath them. ;|

Another thing that got lost in translation, just like the nasty Spare Hero prompt.

Thank you all for your answers, you helped me a lot... Now that I think about it, I did check "special hero trail", but I understood that it was smoky trail behind hero with large army...
What I don't understand is how Nival calls "trail" aura that sticks with the hero...
I guess they did not have the money to buy the dictionary :-)
