Creature stats

Unread postby Symeon Star-Eyes » 26 Jan 2006, 20:21

This is the list of troops and their stats on The Genie's Lamp: http://www.the-genies-lamp.com/h5_troops.htm

I'm not really sure how I feel about this. There's definitely a lot of differance between the different factions! Assassins at lvl 1 with a weekly growth of 7... 8| But they look as they're good at least.
All in all I think it looks good, but I think the lvl 7's are a bit puny, especially HP-wise. The Black Dragon tops the list with 200HP... The Titan has 175HP, wheras the HIII Titan had 300HP...

And why doesn't the Genie or Master Genie have any spellpoints?

Don't know which faction looks the most powerful, but I think Academy must be one of the strongest.

Methinks the low HP's are to speed up combat! Weirdly i'm not against this one, as I always thought that lvl 7's are too powerful compared with the lvl 1's. The 1 per week growth does seem too small though. Hopefully that is the basic growth and you can build stuff to double it.

Spot on. All growths are the basic one, and can be increased by Citadels/castles and possibly Horde buildings (now, where did I see that system before...)

Seems to me that faster combat was a big focus of the game, especially if you're right TT. Interesting, while long fights can be annoying, the battling part is a big chunk of Heroes and its strategy, so hopefully these "innovations" won't do away with long thought-out tactics. Anyway, more on-topic, glad the creature growth can be pumped up, 1 per week is skimpy.

Anyone else annoyed that the lvl 5-7 creatures seem to have the same growth? Like i said, the lower HP doesn't bother me much, but the low creature number does.

For the last time, the Level 7 creatures grow with exactly the same speed that they had in H3:RoE- one a week until castle has been built, the undead Dragons excepted- they have a horde building.

Edit: No fair shortening your posts when I'm replying to them

well I have barely played H3ROE but was that the case for the expansions as well? castles and citadels give the same bonus to all towns but is the base growth for level 7 units really the same for all towns in h3?

but horde buildings could fix that though.

The stats looks good enough, but they have a somewhat low amount of HP ;|

Yeah, I noticed. Damn faulty memory. But the Phoenix does start at 2 per week.

Why do you think I wrote RoE? :devious:

Arzang: All level 7:s had a base growth of 1. All level 6:s had one of 2. All level 5:s had one of 3 (Dendroids had horde building though). The other levels had varied growth.

Bah! Equality at its finest....:ill:

I want the factions to be more different. Different amount of growth, attack, defense, damage, EVERYTHING!

Every lvl 7 got 27-30 attack....worthless....

Damn. HoMM III wasn't very varied was it. Makes me even more sorry that IV wasn't done right.

Yea, TT I also thought the highest level creatures were a bit too strong for my taste. But all in all its just a matter of numbers when using stacks.-Hurry

Could be H4...

Anyway, it's kinda a bummer that all factions seem so alike in creature stuff...guess we'll have to see how it comes out. Yay that there are citadel/castle-type structures though. Oh, does anyone know if owning an external creature dwelling wil affect growth?
