Just put your tracks in the music folder renamed to fit the original ones. Oh and you must turn them into ogg format.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

And you can use ANY sound forge to do that! :)

but i usually don't bother, just turn off all the sounds, and let winamp do the rest.

There is a program called CDex that can convert files to .ogg.

but why would you do that? just turn off the games music and put up windows media player 11 in the background. sure, it wouldnt put up a specific track for specific occasions, but why go through all that other trouble?

EDIT: if you want to replace the games files anyway, look up "Xilisoft Audio Converter" on download.com or something. i tend to have to change music files' formats a lot, and thats what i use.

For the novelty of hearing "In the Navy" whenever you board a boat, i guess.

I have to try that Audio Converter. Got a sudden urge to replace all the battle music with some Turisas and Ensiferum.
