HoF campaign - Ylaya's Quest The Spy

Unread postby infael » 28 Nov 2006, 23:39

I've found 6 magi towers but the magi objective remains unfulfilled. I've scoured everything except the area past the shadow witches that are too numerous to kill.

I'm stuck now. Any suggestions?

TIA

i havent played it, but try to save the gam eand use cheats to see whats past the witches. maybe you were supposed to kill them earlier, in which case you would have to restart now.

Some of the creature stacks that you need to kill are next to other larger stacks that you can't kill. Look around the map again for all the creature stacks.

GOW
Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

you don't have to kill all the stacks to win the map.

the stacks act just like obelisks; the more you kill the more of the map is revealed.

just like with finding the tear, though, you don't have to get all the "pieces" to get a good idea of where to look for the "spy area".

Well, I found the last stack, hidden beneath a tree and cleared the puzzle map. The location doesn't correspond with anything I can see on the map, and the hero location doesn't seem to show on the map...

I've not seen a watchtower, nor do I know what to do next as I've covered everything I possibly can.

there's a watchtower in the SW portion of the map, towards the top of a clearing whose entrances are guarded from both sides.

go into the clearing, and activate the watchtower.

I don't see a watchtower.

Is the watchtower the site of the ritual?

Yes. I'm not sure whether you need to kill all the "revealed" creatures in order to be at the site or ritual or not. You can try go to the WatchTower immediately though...

You don't need to - I didn't . Just reach the WatchTower and you'll win.
