I thought I had a pwnz0r strategy: cast firetrap near opponent and use upgraded bear rides to hurl them on a firetrap

well I tried it and it workes, exept for the firetrap, it din't go of!!!

Nice idea  Too bad it didn't work. You could add that to the buglist,it may be fixed later if the devs happen to see it.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I also love it when I have expet summoning and the creature is on the edge of the battlefield.I cast the spell as close to the edge as it can get(recucing the space in which the 8(!) mines will appear) in front of the creature.Naturally it will proceed through a path of tightly packed mines :D
A good reason to get master of earthblood!

I tried the same thing with castle defenses, bouncing attackers into the runes (since it was a fortress defense). Unfortunately, it doesn't trigger the runes right then.

What do they do anyway(besides the damage)?

I'm assuming you mean the fortress castle runes. They randomly use a rune on one of your characters (per rune that they step on). It's a nice way to get some very powerful runes on your defenders without having to worry about the cost.

As far as the creature it goes to, it always seems to be one in particular for now... I think it may be the troop in your #1 slot (tends to be my shields).

OT, but did anybody else try out the "gate" building for the dwarves?

the one that stores the extra stack of units?

yikes! first time i tried it, when the siege started i received over 650 defenders that were put on the BF.

what's it cost again, like 10 wood and 1k gold??

great investment.
