Unread postby Akul » 21 Nov 2006, 10:19

I made this topic because the commemnts concerning Fabrice have gone out of control. Discuss flaggable windmills here.
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

I am very much for flaggable windmills (yes even if I did argue against them). I prefer to have all sides before deciding on something (takes a long time, but worth it in the end). Often my heroes are engaged elsewhere and can't reach the windmill in time, thus loosing a weeks worth of goods. Now, I have no issue if there was a 'collection fee' or something (small percent of what the goods are worth) to balance it. I do think it should work just like mines; however. Makes more sense if they are part of your kingdom that it gets delivered to you (the millar, a tax collector, whatever) just as the goods from a mine does. Making the hero leave a creature there (at least) would also cause it to be a bit more strategic or something to get flaggable windmills.
Warning, may cause confusion, blindness, raising of eybrows, and insanity. Image

Yes. Waypoints would work as well, but I don't see much use for it asides from windmills and similar structures, which makes me think it would be an unnecessarily complex solution.

Ah, the generation that wants everything handed on them on a silverplate. The waypoints wouldn't kill the current system, so it might be ok, cause atleast there you have to lift a finger to get the resourse.

Voted no.

I'm all for flagable windmills. It's irritating to have one hero that makes a circut from the windmills to the garden of the wee folks to the water wheel, no strategy to it.

I have flagged enough windmills for a lifetime. You just hire a hero or two that you leave stationary there or send him getting all flaggables only to return him back to its stating place.
I don't like this merry little chase.Or the fact that there is no sleep button and you get to press ok after ending every turn.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Yes, of course. Player should concentrate on strategy - not on tax routines.

You don't have to. Just check out the option in the options menu.

it's true that without a secondary hero moving around to collect stuff each turn would be a little shorter, (just a guess) 15-30 seconds per secondary collector hero shorter....

There is a huge difference between not reminding you that a hero has some more movement points and a sleep function,so stop with the "buy a new computer" answers.

DL, why don't you buy yourself a new 'puter instead of torturing your keyboard?
