... and what does that to do with the system requirements?

Anyway, I feel like speculating a bit more; yes, Orfinn, I think you've pretty much got it covered. You'll no doubt need a fairly good video card to experience everything, but hopefully, there will also be an option enabling you to turn off videos etc.

Lots of space will be needed, I am guessing 1Gb RAM will also be recommended, and a moderately quick processor (though I think that's fairly less important).
In War: Resolution, In Defeat: Defiance, In Victory: Magnanimity, In Peace: Goodwill.

So in this time the dual core system will be everywhere and same will stay for virtualization (two running OS's on the same PC). Perhaps here wil be also "Golden Gate" an Intel suggestion of the complet computer with the dual core processor as big as external modem.... Yes and Windows Vista, and theirs WinFS (NTFS successor).

The real player never turn off the video nick-nacks, with exception of Spellbook animation and such others delaying details.

On the other hand, H3 are tremendously fast on current computers, that pleased me a lot.

No kiddin. I cant event take a break between the turns, but with my old PC I could take at least a 5min pause and find something to drink or eat in the meanwhile, waiting for the A.I to finish its turn :)

The system requirements that came with the beta I downloaded are:

- OS: Windows 2000/XP, DirectX 9.0
- CPU: Pentium 4 / Athlon 3,0 GHz or higher
- RAM: 512MB or more
- Video: 128 MB AGP 4x GeForceFX 5600 or higher video card
- CD/DVD-ROM speed: 32x
- Dolby Surround 5.1 sound processor

but it's still really slow on my computer that far exceeds that.

Looks like I've got some serious upgrading to do...

Damn. I don't have 3 GHz. Oh well, if the beta is as buggy as they say I prob wouldn't have bothered anyway.

and what if we would press ctrl alt delete while the game is running
then in that window, you can set hommV at the highest priority

I did it once to keep a cdplayer playing while I was running a game, and it worked well
So I'll certainly try it

Well, I've just bought a new PC (with 3GHz), so I certainly won't be upgrading that... Could buy some more RAM though..

My PC is 2½ years old, no upgrades, and H5 runs very well. So don't get discouraged if your machine doesn't exactly meet the posted requirements.
