I just hope the 64mb graphic card will be sufficient for the game, otherwise :S :ill:

It may be sufficient, but it is a bit low. I think 128mb (or maybe even 256) will be recommended.

well, anyway, altho warcraft has less polygons, I feel its good enough, how about let user set high or low polygons and lower the minimum sys req?

Yeah, or maybe a "turn off videos" option to lower requirements on video cards..

Or "turn off textures" and "use boxes instead of models" :hoo:

Usually recommended is for the game to run perfectly. Hopefully it will run on a 64mb card (would make many people happy).

Scalabilty of the engine is the key.

I saw games with horrible graphic having huge system requirements.

Take Blitzkrieg 2 (sadly made by Nival)....its a pain for my eyes, yet its engine weighs more than the Call of Duty2 one which has stellar graphics....I can run CoD2 much better despite its higher system req...

so, I just hope that it will be scalable enough to run WELL on a medium machine, like the one suggested by the fake sys req posted.

For you guys still owning anything below 1200 mhz....I fear that you are in trouble...

Yes,but wasnt blitzkrieg a tactic? It was a pain for the memory, not the graphic card, since it had so many details.

I suspect we should be looking at a newer game for the possible system requirements. Civilization 4, which came out in October, is now fully 3D and had these requirements:-
Minimum System Requirements

Operating System: Windows® 2000/XP

Processor: 1.2 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon processor or equivalent

Memory: 256 MB RAM (Windows 2000) / 512 MB RAM (Windows XP)

Hard Disk Space: 1.7 GB Free

CD-ROM Drive : 4X Speed

Video: DirectX 9.0c-compatible 64 MB video card with Hardware T&L support ( GeForce 2/Radeon 7500 or better)

Sound: DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card

DirectX®: DirectX® version 9.0c (included) or higher

Recommended System Requirements

Operating System: Windows® 2000/XP

Processor: 1.8 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon processor or equivalent

Memory: 512 MB RAM

Hard Disk Space: 1.7 GB Free

CD-ROM Drive : 4X Speed

Video: 128 MB Video Card w/ DirectX 8 support (pixel & vertex shaders)

Sound: DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card

DirectX®: DirectX® version 9.0c (included) or higher
Although the system I was using was above the minimum requirements the release version didn't run properly, I couldn't finish a game :(, although I believe the patches released have improved the situation.

The good news is my new computer is above any possible requirements that could be asked for :D
