The new portraits are well designed and appealing.Too bad some of the dwarven ones are...lacking.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Eternor wrote:Svea spent her youth in the towns of the Silver League as part of the Dwarves' small embassy in the land of the Wizards. But while other Dwarves, depressed by their stay in the foreign country, were giving way to homesickness, Svea spent her time studying all the mysteries of the League’s magical art. The outcome of her studies was the mastery -- unusual for a Dwarf -- of Lightning Magic.
I see that Ubi forgot to run a check of what the names means in different languages- not sure how I feel about the embodiment of Sweden lending her name to a dwarven heroine. At least she's the one with some shred of modesty...

However, I do like the new bios. They don't seem to be Hero Spec. depending (at least some of theme).
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

Should you buy hammers of faithe? Znork thinks yes!

Well first off all there is no intro cinematics, and the cut sceens are porly made as we hade in h5. But aside from that the story is more intresting and beliving. The new units are fun, and the game is realy mature! Beeing a littel disapointed withe h5 i realy daubted if i was to buy the addon. But i did, and i dont regrate it.

Withe this addon we finaly have a realy fun and intresting game. So if you have bught the h5 and dont want to buy the addon i think you are missing out! Well go to go back to the game!

As often as I disagree with UBI / Nival decisions I don't mind the portraits at all. IMHO HoMM is a fantasy game so I don't mind if some of the heros are a little "over the top" ...

And i hoped im gona replay 6 original campaigns with increased framerate .. :(
hmm, i should try the old version and see.

I believe installation of HOF updates the original with the latest patch, which might have the optimization routines built into the executable.

so many things to do.

whee!

sounds like the genesis for the first HOF mod to me.

meh, I'm really being a bit flippant...

I have 30 mods to wade through to see if they work or not with the expansion, and then figure out what needs to be fixed (at least for my own) first. I also will need to contact the other authors to notify them if I find their mods don't work with the expansion to see if they want to fix them.

then i need to get what info i have into producing a mod manual (finally), and of course I'd like to get around to actually PLAYING the expansion.

I'll probably mod the resource issue sometime next week, right before i start playing the campaign :D

Don't worry I wouldn't want to use it before finishing the campaign :) You know,to feel I've finished the official product as it was meant to be.
...Forget the last part :disagree: But I still believe mods are for single scenarios, not campaigns.

..Forget the last part
LOL.

you have a point, though.

since I'm anxious to go ahead and play, I'll probablly forgo the modding for a few days to get a better feel for the faction.

@ST
Probably the best thing to do.Personal recreation comes first, right? :)
Maybe not always but since you work for providing us a better gaming experience I don't think anyone would complain for a while.
