Resurrection 1.3

I've tried to find anything specific to this question and didn't see anything.

When I Resurrect stacks, even though my spellbook says I should be able to bring back 700+ points of health, I get limited to the number of creatures I would be able to resurrect if they were at their peak hit points.

i.e. - Current HP = 200, Normal = 300

Instead of being able to bring back 3 creatures (700/200), I'm only able to bring back 2 (700/300). In the meantime, it seems as if the enemy is killing them at their current lowered HP status.

If this is indeed the case, it stinks on ice. If not, and the enemy is killing according to the same formula I'm resurrecting, what's the point of lowering the HP in the first place?

yup, you are correct. the idea was to reduce "resurrection/raise dead spamming"

don't like it?

a lot of us didn't, so a mod was made.

you can grab it in the mods section on this site.

the mod puts back both raise dead and resurrection to the way they were prior to 1.3, and makes raise dead a level 3 spell instead of level 2 (increasing the cost to cast it cosiderably).

post again if you can't find it for some reason.

This was made so you couldnt spam raise dead/resurrect,like ST said.But dont wory,v1.4 and the FoH will make res work like it did before.Raise dead will stay like this though.

as for not checking the mod section more often, well I don't really play much HV at all these days, HII is the staple at the moment

Because game has a lot more annoying stuff than res limit,and most of those mods cannot fix(at least not yet).

Thank you all for your responses. I have saved the mod. There have been a few others I've downloaded, including the one which corrects the spelling error. That always drove me crazy, spell-checker that I am...

Strange. OldBoy(nival) said that changed ressurection in 1.4 (2.0) is just a rumor. And that, they are not planning to switch it back..

Making them a one tyrick pony ain't good either. - 10% HP for each casting is kinda too much.

come on !! unlimited spamming of frenzy/pupet master wasn t ???
I guess it is to balance the spell with arcane armor, but really , realy it annoys me , ALOT!
that just simply means that light magic is good only for mass versions of spells, no more lvl 4 5 casting please!
As Haven, that is a good news, you don t have anymore to build your mage guild ...
And JJ, please, do not make more preview of patchs, when changes don t occur, it is just so disapointing.
