Put them in your Maps folder.

If you have no such folder, create one, though I think you can put them in your Data directory and they'll work just as fine as well.

And you also need the game patched to 1.3.

If you have downloaded zipped .h5m files from the net, what you can do is:

1. Unzip the files into your "...Program Files/Ubisoft/Heroes of Might & Magic V/data" folder.

2. Change the file extensions to .pak

Run the game and on the single player custom game settings, remember to check "show multiplayer maps" on top. Enjoy! :)

..or you can do the correct thing and create a "maps" directory in your install directory and put all the .h5m files in that.

To change the file extension:

1. Open My Computer.
2. Select the Tools menu, and then select Folder Options
3. In the Folder Options window, click on the View tab.
4. Uncheck the box next to Hide file extensions for known file types

You will then notice that your maps have an ".h5m" at the end of their names. Simply rename and replace the ".h5m" with ".pak"

Shove all the .pak files in your "data" folder.

I am not familiar with the mapeditor file extensions as I have not installed the editor yet. I hope this helps.
