Only the first civilisation managed to keep me peeled to the monitor for longer than 24 hours, and that was just because my amiga was broken and I couldnt save :( Now,even the new civ,or HIII/HIV cannot keep me for longer then 10 hours. With HV,I dont think I made it longer then 5(C2M3).

Longest HoMM V session is 3 hours, so far (on MP). Longest gaming session is still 54 hours on the original Final fantasy way back when it first came out.

H5 hasn't been as addictive as the previous Heroes games for me. I'd say only about 4-5 hours is the longest I've played it without a break..

CM4 about 40 hours. Took breaks for food/drink adn bathroom visits.

Red Alert is a decent second, about 10-15 hours without any breaks whatsoever.

CM4. I think he's saying he did the whole ranger campaign in one 40 hour marathon session. I can believe it.

my 18 hour session consisted of mission 3, which took 17 hours, and mission 4 (only 1 hour). such a contrast.

I'm actually a little nervous about starting the last mission in that campaign; it looks huge.

No. CM4 - Championship Manager 4, a classic. A game that makes you go: "I'll just play one more match, I promise..." over and over until the guys in white jackets come. Sorry, thought we were talking all games.

Around 4 hours hot-seat with my friend, its just doesnt have that same ole feeling as older games did. When we played HoMM3, we would play all night till the next day, easily over 12 hours, bringin food to the computer. Man I loved that game.

do you not remember the first FF? That is what hooked me on rpgs, I was like 7 or 8 and it was the first week of summer vacation, so plenty of soda to keep me awake. Once I started playing it I just had to beat it, and I had to make sure I explored every inch of the land, especially after I got the uber airship.

Hmmm...allowing for bathroom breaks and getting cups of tea, probably about 8 hours. I recall getting up one morning and starting a game of Heroes II and thinking oh, I'll just play a little while while I have breakfast. And well, I need to do some shopping, but the store won't be open until 10, so I'll play a little more. Eventually, I thought--gee, I feel hungry, checked the clock and discovered it was 3:30 pm.

The original Final Fantasy that came out for Nintendo? Me too. It was during desert storm and I had CNN on audio while I tried to restore the four orbs! I can still remember Coneria, Pravoka, Bike the Pirate, and the bosses - Kraken was tough that first time. I played with very little sleep over about a 72 hour period. Then I played it again. And again. And again.

HOMM has kept me busy for entire weekends. I haven't had the time or patience to start HOMM5 yet though. I'm still playing the other HOMMs for now.

It's the main reason I still have my Nintendo - the other is Baseball Stars.
