Beta Testers -- Please Read

Unread postby Angelspit » 30 Dec 2005, 15:18

I need to remind the beta testers that they are under a strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that prevents them from talking about the beta test. That includes telling other people that you have been selected.

Moderators will delete any post or thread that might break any rule, but obviously we cannot be held responsible for your actions.

Update: With the upcoming closed beta, a few people have had the NDA lifted somewhat in order to help the beta testers get started. This applies to a very few however, and those who this applies to are still not allowed to divulge much more than they previously was (one of the things they are allowed to say is that they were a tester). If you aren't one of those selected, the full NDA still applies, as well as the above.

For your information, out of the 22 helpers, Kareeah Indaga, Gaidal Cain, Vision, UruramTururam, wimfrits and myself are Round Table regulars. We'll try to help you guys with the beta as best as we can.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

It would be nice if we could get some answers in the 8x10 thread. We already know about the spell schools, but a confirmation would be nice. It would also be nice to know if you like it or not.

Sorry, but that's the kind of thing we can't answer. Most likely, the small battlefield will be used in the open beta, but whether it's in the final game is another matter.

So what exactly can you tell us, if you can't even say if the scaleable BF is still in?

Our task is not to become of source of info about the game but instead to help people with the content of the beta; what is likely to change, what is final, things like that.

So you could tell us if the 8x10 is final, or if the scaleable BF is still in!?

Cain already said that the scaleable is gone. And that the 8x10 is not final. Could you tell us if there are still 4 spell schools?
How about the size of the beta install? The d/l method? How long will the bata be available for d/l?

The beta is about 700 MB. The other two we don't know, but the beta is planned to go on for a few (in H4 terms ;) ) weeks.
