Current state of Ashan? *spoilers*

Unread postby Sikon » 02 Jul 2006, 15:56

So... what is the political situation in Ashan just after H5's end?

The only ones whom something can be definitely say are (I presume) Raelag, the ruler of the united Ygg-Chal, and Zehir, the First in the Circle of the Silver Cities.
Is Isabel still the Queen and are her opponents still scheming to overthrow her? Where are Archbishop Randell (spelling?) and the little Andrei Griffin? Did Markal bother with "removing" them during his short rule?
Who rules Irollan after Alaron's death? Did Findan assume the throne? I was under the impression that he was only some sort of a military supreme commander and wasn't going to succeed Alaron.
What happened to Lorekeep, Newpost and Markal's uber-artifacts?
And more importantly: is Kha-Beleth still alive?

I think we should wait for the expansion to answer at least some of those, hopefully.

Isabel should had been removed from her position as Queen after all the mad and evil acts she's been commiting.
Hopefully Archbishop Randall or Andrei will succed her.

Probably Findan is the leader of Irollan nowadays, even if he's not titled as King.

Lorekeep and Newpost should now be under the control of the Silver Cities after Zehir's conquering.

Kha-Beleth's gotta be dead, or else I don't see any point at all with the last Academy-mission.
Probably the future Demon Messiah will be his successor.

- Though I must say that Heroes V left more new questions than it answered.

Of course it did; it's the first game in a new universe.

If Kha-Beleth is dead, does that mean the demons are defeated?

Somehow i doubt that would be a good reason to remove her in the middle ages.

Concidering the fact that the lords of the empire wanted to replace her even BEFORE she started her treachery (after all, she let Necromancers take control of the HOLY empire).
Now they got a reason to replace her, and I doubt they would miss that chance.

My guess is that Andrei will be the new sovereign and a playable Haven-hero in the expansion.

It didn't really look like Kha-Beleth died... It was more of a "Muahahahaha! I'll be back!" kind of exit.

If she went to Hell them very likely she was replaced. But in the end it isn't aboout reasons, but chance. I wonder if he'll be called Andrew in the russian version?!

He's called Andrias in the Russian version, and Oleg, who ordered the destruction of Lorekeep, is called Helgi.

Come to think of it, if Archbishop Randall and whatever lords allied against Isabel wanted to depose her, certainly they would try to depose Markal as well? And of course, Isabel would have no reason to show them mercy as she did for Godric.
Also, I wonder what impact it had when Godric, the leader of the human rebellion against the undead, allied with Isabel...

Of course Lorekeep and Newpost are under the control of the Silver Cities. The question is what they did to these towns.

Probably same thing as Cyrus. And in expansion we will once again restore Lorekeep to it`s former glory :devious:

You should just have a look into the Dark Messiah storyline. No, Kha-Beleth is not dead. In Dark Messiah the player IS the demon messiah, twenty years after the events in H V.

I really have no idea what happened to Isabel?

I mean after all the things she did, why did they still allowed her to roam the lands freely? Didn't she help to kill Cyrus, the father of Zehir?

Anyway, how did Alagon died? There was no mention of how he died...

How did Isabel managed to have a baby so fast? And her hair turned from blonde to black...

lots of unanswered questions..

The player's goal is to fight the Dark Messiah (who I asume is the same as the Demon Messiah). The player isn't him.

If Kha-Beleth died and Isabel took over, all the other heroes might have to start calling her Isabel, Queen of Blades.
