So the six dragons are...?

Unread postby Sikon » 25 Jun 2006, 18:16

As we know, there are two Primordial Dragons - Asha and Urgash - and six Elemental Dragons, once created by Asha. Names mentioned in H5 and Ubisoft revelations are:

- Elrath (Dragon of Light)
- Malassa (Dragon of Darkness)
- Sylanna (Dragon of Earth)
- Sylath (Dragon of Air)

So, thinking logically, there should be also a Dragon of Fire and a Dragon of Water. What are they? Were they mentioned? Maybe Shalassa from the "Vessel of Shalassa" spell is the Dragon of Water?

Dont forget the sar-...errr,whatever hes called.

And am I the only one that finds it stupid for a god(a dragon in this case)to live just two days from one of its worshipers towns?(the warlock map 2)

"Daughter of Malassa". I think the warlocks worships more than one dragon in some manner. And what I found odd was that they told me to find it like it was some sort of difficult quest, and then it's two days away.

Sar-Elam was called the Seventh Dragon. Actually, he wasn't a dragon, but a wizard.

That would be Asha, the one who created Ashan. Apparently, it's a she.

Here's the list I made, that was either on the former forum, or on this one a long time ago:
Dragon-gods:
- Urgash, the Primordial Dragon of Chaos (Inferno patriarch)
- Asha, The Primordial Dragon of Order (Necropolis patriarch)
- Elrath, the Dragon of Light (Haven patriarch)
- Malassa, the Dragon of Darkness (Dungeon patriarch)
- Sylanna, the Dragon of Earth (Sylvan patriarch)
- Sylath, the Dragon of Air (? patriarch)
- ?, the Dragon of Fire (? patriarch)
- Shalassa, the Dragon of Water (? patriarch)
I heard the fire one is called something with an A, but i didn't find anywhere to confirm it.

That's possible. This dragon is never named in the backgrounds of the 6 factions.

According to the Academy background, she's the dragon that taught Sar-Elam on the nature of matter and spirit and showed him the higher path of power.

Also she's the dragon that necromancers worship in a twisted version of her destructive aspect.

Arkath is the dragon of fire, worshipped by dwarves.

" Born from the Void, the Cosmic egg appears and hatches, freeing the twin Dragons of Order and Chaos.
ASHA, the Primordial Dragon of Order creates the world by giving it shape and purpose.
She then gives birth to the Elemental Dragons who are destined to guide and rule her creation.
The mortal races are created as “servants of the Dragon Gods”, and placed upon the earth. Each chooses its gift and its patron.
The radiant Angels choose ELRATH, the Dragon of Light.
The mysterious Faceless choose MALASSA, the Dragon of Shadow.
The quiet and meditative Elves choose SYLANNA, the Dragon of Earth.
The proud and sturdy Dwarves choose ARKATH, the Dragon of Fire.
The wise reptilian Nagas choose SHALASSA, the Dragon of Water.
The curious, restless Humans choose last and select SYLATH, the Dragon of Air.
Smouldering with jealousy, URGASH, the Primordial Dragon of Chaos creates the Demons in an attempt to surpass his sister's achievements."

I think it might be named Arkath, not that I've really cared that much for the backgrounds usually, though I think H5 does a reasonably competent job at making a new world.

Also have a look here:

edit: beaten to the punch apparently... :P ... well what can I say, I type slow :disagree:

Six Elemental dragons + Two Primordial dragons + Sar-Elam, the so called 7th Dragon (the primordials were forgotten at the time).

Can I have a link to somewhere official that states that?
Nelgirith too.

BTW:
Ashan
(´shn) (KEY) , in the Bible, unidentified town of S ancient Palestine, perhaps the same as Chor-ashan.

I'll just look it up in the manual... Oh wait, there's no information about the storyline or the world of Ashan in the manual.

Copy/pasting all that stuff on the site to a .pdf is way too much work. Especialy when you can just let the fans do it for you. All part of the fun, right. The fun of being a producer I guess.

Anyway, except that thread from AoH, is there any official info on this?

As far as I remember, these were the infos that were available on the official site during the beta.

Currently, the timeline is shorter and less detailed :( http://www.mightandmagicgame.com/us/timeline.php

I don't remember that. Not the dragons. But the timeline was more detailed i think.

Wonder if they'll ever update the creature and lore section.

You know there's really plenty of material for an expansion here.
For starters, AFAIK there's no mention of Faceless in the Dungeon town, whose Dark Elves worship Malassa. No Dwarves or Nagas available in the game either currently. While Orcs and Barbarians are mentioned here and there, they're not around too.
Also there is no current ingame faction which worships Arkath or Shalassa.

I wonder if we could have 2 extra towns in the expansion... neutrally aligned and with some of the above creatures. I probably would be satisfied with one but 2 would be good if they have the time to balance things properly and it would silence a good number of critics that H5 has less of everything, despite being based on H3 mainly
