What are the bonus maps?
What are the bonus maps?
Can someone describe the 3 bonus single player maps from Collector/Limited Edition? What are they called? How big are they? How many players do they have?

Re: What are the bonus maps?
This is the description (before the patch), don’t know which 3 are the extra scenario maps from the U.S. limited edition because I only have the LE so I don’t know which ones came with the ‘regular’ version...vicheron wrote:Can someone describe the 3 bonus single player maps from Collector/Limited Edition? Had the game shipped with like 30 maps and there were three extra in the limited editions, I'd been inclined to argue with you. As it is, I'm inclined to agree that it would have been bettere to just include them with the ordinary editions and maybe give those who'd bought special editions something extra later on.

Ha! They wouldn't sell many special editions that way, would they?Gaidal Cain wrote:Had the game shipped with like 30 maps and there were three extra in the limited editions, I'd been inclined to argue with you. Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.

Why? I'm pretty sure the maps themselves aren't copyrighted, just the game is. If you bought it you should be able to anything to it, and play any map with it.Paradox wrote:that would be illegal.

It's a song by the Traveling Wilburys.... and it containg exactly that line.
I still don't think giving people the maps is illegal, unless you live in one of those nice ditatorial states....

As part of the game. If someone owns the game, how would getting those maps be illegal? Wouldn't that make creature mods also illegal, as ur using game code in them?Gaidal Cain wrote:Those maps are copyrighted, at least from a European standpoint (you don't need to write out that it's copyrighted for it to be). Thus, releasing them would be a form of piracy.

Those maps belong to the limited edition, thus those that didnt fatten ubis pockets a bit more cant have them, even though they bought the game. Its like adding spoilers to the car:You can either buy the car that already has spoilers instaled,or one without, but if you want to add spoilers to the second one,you have to cash out extra money.Same here,if you want those maps, buy them from ubi.ThunderTitan wrote: As part of the game. Software isn't a car. Different rules apply. And you can't get different fan-made spoilers for free. And 2 people can't get the same spoiler at the same time, without any extra cost for making the spoiler.DaemianLucifer wrote: Those maps belong to the limited edition, thus those that didnt fatten ubis pockets a bit more cant have them, even though they bought the game. Its like adding spoilers to the car:You can either buy the car that already has spoilers instaled,or one without, but if you want to add spoilers to the second one,you have to cash out extra money.Same here,if you want those maps, buy them from ubi.
