Quick ATB Icon moves

Unread postby MistWeaver » 30 May 2006, 00:49

People who think that ATB icons are moving too slow (I think they realy are!), can use next thing:

add to your profiles/autoexec.cfg

setvar ATBAction_AddRemove_Time = 0.2
setvar ATBAction_FadeOut_Time = 0.2
setvar ATBAction_Move_Time = 0.2

Tried it out, it works great. Takes away my biggest annoyance with the initiative bar. Thanks.

And of course feel free to set up any other time value instead of 0.2
note: The default (annoying) was 0.5

i did this and it caused one problem.

when you click on the arrows on the sides to scroll left and right, that is now slowed to a crawl. any ways to speed this back up to original speed?

setvar ATBBar_ScrollSpeed = 0.2
You could try changeing this value. It sounds about right. But i'm not sure.

I did exactly what you said but the icons still move at the same speed.
I even set it to 0.01 and still no change.

@Minmaster:

Not delete it, but change its value from 0.2 to something else (i belive 0.5 was the default?). If that one doesn't work you could test with the others.

@LZ

Did you put it between the start and end code?

What start and end code? I thought I had to create a autoexec.cfg file. Should they go in the global.cfg file or the user.cfg one?

"Profiles" in the main game folder, not "Profiles" in the "My Documents" folder.

I SEE now 8| . Thanks alot. It works great :D

Side note: Does anyone think that the best thing that Nival/Ubisoft did with this game is the fact that it is so easy to mod?

One of, yes.

Especially when it comes to the UI, which I am sure will be modded eventually... and if it isnt, I will start working on one. The fact that it is done with LUA helps alot too (lets hope they programmed it so that you cant use the LUA codes to cheat.... WoW is good for preventing that)

The current UI sucks ass.

LUA codes have been discovered. Just check the Cheats thread (not the one that's in the News, but the first one).

Im glad you people have found this thing to your liking. And sorry about that scrolling glitch. Mised that there is a "speed" word instead of "time"

Ill fix the post now
