Me too. At least not any fans. They probably use the internal group though.

no I didnt, I said I spoke to a tester on ubi.com, many romanians play 1.1 on ubi.com for testing purposes and I spoke to them(they created 1.1 games proving they have that version).

i hope this patch fixes some of the bigger issues, but suspect that this patch will only scratch the surface ... too soon for a full blown patch im thinking

yep, that is very dangerous territory!! especially the bit about the bugs being fixed ... the patch may make it, but expect bugs to still be there for a while yet!!!

But happy to know that the patch will be about balancing. Yeah its important that too along with those pesky campaign and mp bugs. The luck skill feels overpowered, Sylvan is in fact king of the hill along with prince Necropolis. It shouldnt be like that, ALL towns should be usefull in any situation or there will only be necropolis vs sylvan and thats just boring. And THAT is darn hard to balance, since the skill/ability system is so complicated and those racial skills dont forget them, I understand it takes a while to create good patches so I will be patient and wait.

yeah, it would be nice if it could all be done and hosed by now, a map ed and all the goodies, but as long as they get it done right, and it doesn't take too long to fix, then i will be happy

My patch priority

Unread postby PhoenixReborn » 30 May 2006, 01:38

My patch priority list is as follows:

1. Bugs, glitches where the game messes up...see Gaidal Cain's sticky...this includes missing text and inaccessible warlock skills.

2. Optimization...my computer can run oblivion fine but has lag like hell no matter what graphics setting. This is probably my own user error but I'm not the only one complaining about this.

3. Balance? I'm not sure how you would figure this out...whose feedback are they using to "balance" the game...I think vamp lords are unbalanced, as usual.

What do you think?

Vampires are at here weakest ever in a HoMM. They seem to weak to me. But that might just be 'cause they were overpowered in the rest.

i agree TT, they do seem relatively weak, in HIII i would always be very wary of taking on neutral stacks of vampires/vampire lords, but in HV, no sweat

but i reckon that's as it should be, cause they were always too powerful

The vamps weak? Nah they arent weak IMO. They are one of the strongest creatures in the necro town but above average when comparing them to other lvl 4. And for me they are the best looking vamps so far, finally they got an almost 100% gothic look (more black would do maybe to get full score) and they are much better now than the beta versions which was ugly as hell, the vampire lords was oozing red, didnt fit, too much color almost no contrasts, except some purple.

@Orfinn
Gimme a Nosferatu over the H5/H4/H2 ones anytime.

And I meant weak compared to the previous ones.

Oh my fault. Well I dont have played H2 much so I dont know exactly how much weaker the H5 one are compared to it. For me the vampires in H5 is a tiny bit weaker than in H3. The one in H4 was overpowered IMO (havent played Eq).

The vaps from HIII are the best.True monsters. And HV vamps are the weakest mostly because they are so slow, and regular ones are walkers.

What's wit the walking and teleporting thing?

Shouldn't they turn into bats to move? Now that would be cool.

Do French and Russians not watch any vampire movies or what? There's more movies about Vampires then "Jerry Lewis vs Dracula" you know.

What a stupid feature,I hate it.I like to view vampires as powerfull casters that can polymorf int o whatever they want, and not just silly werebats.

Well, at least the vampires don't go "Bleeeh!" when hit like the Heroes IV ones.

It always made me do my "I vant to bite vour neck" accent.
