Ring of Caution artifact - what is this?

Unread postby Hamsternator » 22 May 2006, 07:55

Found this ring with Agrael on the map where Gilraen and he do their merry chase. Has no description, just "Ring of Caution". Anyone know what it is?

Edit: I know it gives +2 att and def, as that's plain by equipping/unequipping... what I would like to know is if there's more to it - a downside, maybe? (btw +2att doesn't quite fit the name of the ring, methinks).

ok, confirmed .... Ring of Caution:
Increases hero attack and defense by +2, but decreases all creature's speed in hero army by -1

so a bit of a trade off there, i would unequip personally!

go the speed

Hmm seems like the stats aren't worth it in most cases.. Speed is so important..

I'd say, it depends.
Sometimes speed is very critical, but often not that much. When you can use your cerberi and Nightmares to cross the BF in one turn - especially when you have 24 attack but only 9 defense - the speed is indeed very important.
Most of the time, on the other hand, you'll wait for your opponent to approach anyway...
I'd equip it most of the time - depending on my army.

PS: If you have tactics, you can use the ring without any problems ;)
