P4, 3.2 GHz
1Gb RAM DDR
Radeon 9800se

Obviously, I wasn't expecting to be able to play the game maxxed. I play it in 800x600 with graphics at normal and it never lags (except when there's too many trees or when viewing the undead's town view).

My computer's over 2 years old and it's overheating for no reason now so I really need to change it someday soon >.>

I seem to be just fine but I've got a fairly high end video card & system:

AMD 3500+ Venice
4GB memory
NVidia 7800GT OC [minimal factory OC]
OS == Win XP Home SP2 clean install with all updates

Video settings == MAX eyecandy at 1024x768.

I've turned off virtual memory [don't really need it]. The only time I saw something that seemed a little sluggish was in a long battle with the animation speed cranked up fairly high. The adventure map seemed to run just fine.

Hey TheInfested, are you sure what you're saying ?

Cause I have FX5950U but having really bad FPS when max zooming out.

Here are some picture.

First I have this problem when I play this game at 1024*768@Very High, AA2X.... I get this FPS when zoom out (pic is resized).
Image

So.. I think, may be I push my VGA too hard, so I lower the res and details but nothing is better :disagree: .

Then, I try playing this game @extremely low res
640*480 @Very Low , NO AA.... and I still get this framerate.
Image

I don't know what cause this problem... maybe some Shader that too hard for my Vga, so I try using 3DAnalyse to Disable every shader option to see if I can get Higher FPS.
Image

This is the results.
Image

The same Bad FPS (image is so dark cause ALL shader function are Disabled).

But problem is GONE when I zooming in.... the more I zoom in the more FPS.

Sorry if I post too many pics, but it helps me explain my problem better................. So I vote Acceptable

..Almose forget.. my system spec.
Athlon XP 3200+
1Gb Dual Channel Ram
Abit-NF7-S
Geforce FX5950U
Audigy DE
WinXP Sp2
DX9C (that came with the game)

P.S.TheInfested Please reply me if you have the same problem, info about your system and VGA driver should be good.

You seem like a computer guy (like me) On a side note...Have you installed the your lastest MB chipset drivers? (VIA, Nvidia etc.)

The GeForce FX5950U is a lower-mid range card. Maybe consider a 6800XT? for $129.99 @ NewEgg, I'm sure your problems will go away.

I'm running it on all highest settings on a Geforce 6800 GT, and it runs perfectly. Yes, even the beta did ;)

Acceptable (Nvidia)

The game runs smoooth if I dont lower the camera to gound level and point it out towards the black shroud, it also lags abit when zoomed max out. Some lagging on very large maps and with alot of players (above 4).
All in all it just satisfying enough for me still with the above described drawbacks.

Im running the game on HIGH and my specs are
:
AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (2,08) Ghz
768 RAM (DDR/SDR)
GeForce 6800 Ultra 256 mb
80+ GB

The game runs great on my system. I run it at 1600X1200 (so I don't have to change res from my desktop) high quality, AA on and AF maxed. Eyecandy on as well

Specs:

P4 dual core
2gb ram
ati x800gto2 modded to x850xt pe speeds/bus

It run great on my old system but its using a small lcd so lower res 1024x768

p4 2.53
768ram

San Diego 2.7Ghz
1gb ram
7900GT 560/1600

and the game is just acceptable, not great. With max settings I receive stutering and lose frames when I zoom out. Anything else runs very smooth. My pc is powerfull enough to run fear with maxed settings (all frames above 41 and no slowdowns at all) but I cannot play H5 in an adequate fashion, when I want to have a strategic look on big maps. I guess the cpu or vga are overloaded with details and cannot cope with the situation. Maybe they should optimize the game and use sprites or something like that when someone zoomes out.

ThunderTitan wrote:OK, people that have brand new tricked out PC's. Does zooming slow down the game?
On a AMD 4800+ dual core, 2 gb ram and GeForce 7900 GTX I run the game at 1280x1024 with 2xAA and 4xAF.

I only get about 30 fps if I zoom out or do eye-level view and that is very low. I play all the latest FPS games at 1280x1024 with 8xAA and 16xAF at many more fps then this. It is unbelievable bad programming that a slow paced turn based game like Heroes V runs slower then a fast paced FPS game ! I'm *very* disappointed :ill:

3.0 Pentium 4 with hyperthreading
1 gb ram ddr400 dual channel
x700 256 mb

I've been playing 1024x768 with high settings.

I tried setting the graphics down to normal but it made no difference.

My game is pretty laggy. It feels very slow. I'm not sure what I can do to improve it. I haven't really experimented but it's playable.

P4 2.6MHz
512 MB RAM
GeForce 6600GT

The game starts lagging after a while on anything but Very Low settings. The higher the settings the faster it starts. But I don't really care about the graphics, so playing on Very Low and 1024 doesn't bother me.

Just got my game so I've just started. Game runs good so far... but I had to install the game twice. The first time, the installation failed to make a folder directory and installed it in a bunch of directories on all over my hard drive so I had to uninstall and reinstall and make my own directory. and then it didn't accept my windows xp version of DirectX 9.0c and I had to install ubi's version of DirectX! weird!!! But after all that, the game has been smooth but I am just in my first scenario.

I have an AMD Athlon 2500+ 2GB ram
NVIDIA control System
NVidia GeForce 6800GT 256 mb video card

Game Settings:
graphic setting 1024x768
Image Quality-normal
Anti Aliasing- off
Filter /Low/Med
Eyecandies- off
Music-off
Sound- on
Movement- med
Invert camera - on
Quick combat -off
Battle speed settings-fast
Show turtorial- on instant 2nd mark
autosave-off
player and AI movement-fast
Special hero trail- on
Show grid- off
Show movement shade-on
Cursor shade- on
Cinematic camera - on

Works like a charm, I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ 2GB RAM with two Nvidia Geforce 7800GTX cards in SLI.
If I ever get what I deserve, I'll be in big trouble!
