Naga as snake-people?! Haven't they copied enough from other games? Bring back the H3 Fortress Lizardmen, with some Medusas and Nagas in there too. They're all cold blooded.

@Evenshade

Don't you think it would be funny to see a Kraken "moving" around the battlefield?

@Purple Sky

I think Heroes is all about mixing diffrent mythological creatures. How can you connect a Goblin with Roc, or Cyclops, or Behemoth. Well maybe if they were their lunch...

I meant as a race of snake-people, with different subspecies (ala Medusa and stuff). Of course a naga is a snake-person, half of it it's a snake. I just want 1 six-armed, sword-wielding Naga, not 3-4 Nagas in different roles.

White (well pink actualy) people are human, but not all humans are white. Nagas are snake-people, but not all snake-people are Naga. At least i hope not.

If we can have 7 elves andgod knows how many humans,why not three nagas?One melee,one archer and one caster.Or two melee and one caster,since medusas would be a perfect archer to go with nagas.

[emo vader]NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO[/emo vader]

Because I don't like it. I want my Naga at lvl 6+. Just let them have a lizardmen town, with Nagas and Medusas as related creatures. Let Lizardmen be Casters and stuff.

Hand off my HoMM Naga.

Because elves and humans are a major power who are capable of forming a faction and ruling them.

Technically, WarCraft III naga are mutated elves. So if we get a WC3 nagas, there will be even more elves! :)

What?!Why?Why do we have to have boring humans as a major power in every setting?Humans are so boring and old.Im surrounded by them in the real world,I dont want loads of them in my games as well.The only thing human factions are good to me is as stuff to kill.

Humans of M&M works better, as you get to keep the abreviaton... :devil:

And seeing as there most certainly is another human faction in the world (Free Cities of the East) it's damn near perfect.

@Continuity

Well nagas are snake people, but in a large number hindu of myths and beliefs nagas are presented as many-headed snakes/serpents that look similiar to Hydras (usually the don't have legs, because many hydras have). And, because there are already Hydras in the game I think they will not use this idea.

@DaemianLucifer

I thought you were surrounded by other demons in real world, so what's the problem :D

Well I agree with your opinion, there are many humans in every fantasy games, but many people are more likely to play with humans other than with non-humanoid creatures, I don't know it's some kind of habit...

Well, alot of elven like races seem to be already in HoMM V - The Dungeon seem to have gone over to the Dark Elves and there are elvish like units like the pixie?

Just to confirm, both the Dwarves and Elves are mentioned in the First Campaign - maybe these will appear as another town / faction? Maybe the Dwarves will appear as fully Might based? who knows.

Here's how i'd like it:

Dwarves: Fire Dragon worship, Mountains, Smiths and Artisans, most Might, little Magic;
Lizards: Water Dragon worship, Swamps and Deltas, both M&M;
Orcs/Greenskins: No Dragon (from lore), Stepps/Rough; Stronghold like;

I *still* think that dwarves should be something like magical engeneers. Making them in to random dwarf units focused on might sounds boring and uninnovative.

I want thm to be a sort of Arcane Smiths. So they would have magic weapons and the sort. No directs spells and stuff, just enchantments on weapons and armour. Maybe some more complex mechanical weapons, but nothing too fancy.

Maybe the dwarves could be like the dwarven side in Disciples 2, where they specialised in boosts to their units (not really magic but tonics etc)

That would be hard to balance though.
