Impossible mana need for Life Drain

Impossible mana need for Life Drain

I'm new to HOMM6. Have managed to get to level 17 and an currently in campaign 3.

I had a few bug problems initially so downloaded patch 2.1, apparently successfully but notice that the mana required to cast Life Drain, Mass Life Drain and also the just acquired Summon Dark Elementals is ridiculously high - now 11,667!

Can anyone suggest why - is it a bug or am I missing something?

Yes, you miss patch 2.1.1 which fixes this bug.
