Why not "HOMM6" but "MMH6"?

The new Heroes games produced by Ubisoft. Please specify which game you are referring to in your post.

They should have done this "renaming" starting with H5, not H6. And I do think it is necessary to differentiate the new Ubisoft series from the old NWC era.

About the time HoMM5 was released, they decided to rebrand everything in the M&M multiverse under the "Might and Magic" umbrella. (thus we had Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes, for example.)
Indeed, the expansions to HoMM5, if you look at the boxes, are MMH5 (plus the subtitle).

To appeal to a larger audience. Might and Magic Heroes sounds better than Heroes of might and magic. I'm sure you veteran homm players disagree with me but it's all about first impression.
Heroes 6 would've been an even better name but the Might and Magic brand still makes sales.

"Might and Magic Heroes" sounds awful compared to "Heroes of Might and Magic" to a native english speaker like me.

@ Mirez, I don't think you should embarass yourself by writing that the shifting one word to the end of the title will "appeal to a larger audience." :baby:
