Disagree. They could mess up "mature", but the art style was definitely the worst part of H5 imo. The screens of H6 so far look fantastic to me.

One thing that stood out from the OP (thanks for writing that, btw) was that it sounded like the mine-control-radius of towns is something you purchase and upgrade. So maybe it's not quite as simplistic. Plus, what happens when you have multiple towns in one area? :)

I like the graphic direction the game has taken so far. Darker graphics and buildings/units/heroes looks less huge and less cartoonish. So far, it looks a bit more "realistic" (I hate this word for a game) but without losing its touch of magic.

BTW does developers have stated what engine they use. Do they use same nival's one or do black hole makes their own? I know games look bit alike but it does not make it automatically true.As far as I know nival uses its own engine that was partially used in it's previous projects too like SS. Usualy that means that companies avoid using foreign engines unless they are specifically built to be used as outsource. Black hole is large enough company to have engine of it's own, so any info on that?

The Warhammer/Armies of Exigo engine from Black Hole has been upgraded for H6.

And since you'll most likely ask me how I know it : http://de.krautgaming.com/5133/neue-fea ... gekundigt/

It's a small detail, but from what I understood not necessarily everything will be visible from every angle. Instead they will be using a default angle (as seen in the demo), which map makers use to place objects in such a way that seen from that specific angle nothing is hidden behind trees or other obstacles. (So it's rather a guideline they use, instead of a game engine feature.)

If you choose to rotate and tilt the camera angle, you are still going to hide resources or artifacts. I guess, they will still include the Alt-key "glow feature" of HeroesV.

alma wrote:Hey! Thanks for the informations! Do you know anything about a video about the event? A video about the program or maybe a direct feed of the demonstration gameplay? Since it was good enough to show there to the public I hope we'll get a video about it too. I can't find anything on youtube. :(
No news about the video from the event but someone has uploaded two demo gameplay videos where you can also see the boss.

Did anyone catch the fact that the 4-Leaf Clover give you Destiny (i think, can't make it out very well) instead of Luck.

And i hope that Ghoul isn't standing in a power circle or something... that's Disciples 3's thing.

Liked the ghoul attack (although reminds something), but imo they should move faster...

"Mature" is just code for boobies and gore in the video game industry... we should really start asking for something like more "intellectual" games instead...

I wish it was otherwise but the "deeply" part is somewhat exaggerated, at least for now. :)

Yeah, it's Vana Tallinn indeed, he also got Riga Black Balsam and our local black bread and chocolate. :)

If he has drunk them both, then H6 will surely be delayed. If he drank them mixed, who is gonna be his heir on development throne?

Being given a tour isn't exactly the same as being involved... but they did get to play the game, i wonder what they said about it to the devs.

Why do you think they were invited there?
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Meh, the actual contributing probably happens in the VIP forum, not during the video shoot.

I just hope they actually contribute to the game itself, not just to map testing and/or making.
