Yeah, sorry about that. Bear with us - we're pretty hard at work creating one of the major campaigns, Tales of Karador. We don't have many team members so it's tough to get anything done too quickly.

If you'd like info on Tales of Karador, see this thread at HC.

There's also a thread in the Modcrafting Guild full of screenshots. Just so you know, one of the ideas we are planning for GotP is level 8 units - they'll be incorporated after we're finished with ToK. :)

Just a quick question; will GotP be a real mod; or will it be, like LotA, a (heavily) modded campaign?

Not that I prefer one over the other but the original concept was a mod; but it seems to have become a modded campaign.

Will GotP be available for the original version?

It will be a real mod with new campaigns, as it always has been. GotP will probably not be available for the vanilla Heroes V because some things simply can't be carried between versions. :)

Work on the mod has stopped for the moment, since everyone involved is also busy at work on the Tales of Karador mod. GotP's development will resume sometime early next year, after ToK's completion. The first stage of beta testing for ToK will begin around January 13th 2008.

@Corlagon: Glad to hear it's still alive! :D

So...since the general plot for the mod seems to have changed...should I modify the campaign idea I wrote up a while back? :)

(I'd make the maps myself...but my mapmaking skills are...lacking.

Well, we haven't actually decided much about the campaigns just yet, but there will be a prologue mission, and it will feature Gelu... :)

Gelu? I tought that he was blewn into 100000000000000000000^10000000000000000000000000 pieces.
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

The prologue takes place before he was blown into 100000000000000000000^10000000000000000000000000 pieces. During the final battle on Enroth between Gelu and Kilgor.

That's a lot of zero's. Perhaps Gelu didn't even consist of so many parts :devious:

Anyways, thanks for the answer!

Just a quick note; a nice feature would be to be able to play all campaigns; meaning every campaign for HoMM V (normal, HoF and TotE) and the extra campaigns that would be included while only having to start the mod. I felt stupid having to start up HoMM V normal when I wanted to play all those campaigns while having HoF installed.

We'll probably incorporate that feature: it's possible, and not difficult to mod in.

This is the (very) early version of Gelu. The Warlock staff and the Lizard will be replaced with something more... appropriate.

I have a question: how big the mod will be (in mbs)?

To be honest, we haven't even begun to think about that. Work is still in a pretty early stage, since all of us are occupied with another mod.

Bump bump, seems my quick note has been read by others (perhaps) and had been turned into a mod. See CH main page and my post on the previous page (1).
