Text Files - If two mods change same file, which is used?

For example, "Nadaur.(AdvMapHeroShared)". For the "Complete sylvan heroes compilation" it is changed to point to the different models/textures.

But what if another mod changes something in this file? Which will the game choose to read, and will it cause conflicts between the mods?

And is it the newer dated file that is chosen over the older dated file?

What if a modder used the altered file from the above compilation, and adds the changes for his/her mod? Will the game read the more recently changed file? And will there be any problems playing the original mod that includes the older file with the more recent mod that has the newer file?
