Agree with gamespot.
Jeez, I cant see a reason of that game low sales. Because this game is miraculous. I dont like shooters in general, but I played Undying over and over about 5-6 times. And all times except first one - on max. difficulty (and still had about 70 healthpacks left in the end)
The plot is great. And I realy enjoyed these good written journal entries.
Still we cant hope for Undying2 - there will be another game with Clive Barker involved - "Clive Barker's Jericho"
ps: Lizbeth rules (though she's completely insane)

ive played it.
thus it seems to me, that it is "Best game that Gamespot thinks no one played" instead.
without the scythe and the ice-ball shooting tibetian something, it could have kept up its excitingness. using pistol and missing when shooting at howlers and then running as hell was fun ^^ especially if the lights go out suddenly.
this is the kind of game i would have least expected from EA.

I still found it exciting, except that it was in the opposite way... come to papa's scythe, you little unholy aberration.

Weirdly for some reason biting ppl's head doesn't seem to either give me health or cause more serious dmg then some teeth marks.

AvP1 was a good game and all, but it was too fast to be enjoyable. I didn't find it that scary either, because it always felt like, ok, a very fast "thing" attacked me, I should have responded earlier. There were even times when I used to forget those creatures were "aliens".
AvP2 (marine story only, the other stories were meh) on the other hand, had excellent pacing. The atmosphere, the sound effects, the lighting, the motion detector (loved that!)... everything was great. I've also played some multiplayer games, and trust me, slower aliens are a lot scarier than uber-fast ones.

The motion detector was the scary thing in both... but yeah, AvP2 had a better story.
