Any GameSpot User Here?

Unread postby Angelspit » 16 Nov 2006, 21:03

Do you guys use GameSpot on a regular basis? I start visiting that site again recently, and I like checking out other people's reviews and collections. I also have a small blog made of stuff from the CH news.

Feel free to add me, and I will gladly return the favor.

I use it quite often, to see how certain games are graded. I've learned to take their reviews with a grain of salt, though.

I just think you need to be aware that their rating system is not linear, and that they do sometimes have a fair slant on some games too

I am aware of that. That's why it's a grain of salt, not a lump or pile.

I'm not a user.

Do they have free accounts or do I have to subscribe?

I had an account, but have long ago stopped using it, since you can browse most stuff as a guest.

Since I was a member of GameFaqs, I got a free Gamespot account a few years back. I don't really use it for anything because of my internet connection. Plus I prefer IGN.

I often browse it to see what is/was "mainstream" reaction to some games.

I like Gamespot enough, and although I don't agree with all the reviews or decisions they make, I think it's still a good web site and an interesting read. It's helped me find some really good games in the past.

Anybody who wants to add me too, I'd love it.

I check the site, sometimes. Not very often, though.

I had registered last year but had not checked it in months. I tend to check RpgWatch for game news.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

After Gamespot failed to be convincing about statement that Gerstmann was fired not because of K&L review, I dont trust this site any more.
