I've heard good things about Call of Duty 4, but I'm just not into somewhat-relistic shooters.

Well, Omega,it's not THAT realistic. Basicly you are just running and gunning, shooting hundreds of baddies...

Just never grabbed me. Kind of like Gears of War. Both have won numerous awards and received very high ratings, and yet, I have no desire to actually play them. Different strokes I guess.

It didn't scare me much either but it was pretty suspenseful, especially the early levels.

But, as that video shows, some do find Doom 3 very scary game. ;)

Really? I didn't find it that scary... of course last time i was scared was in the original Unreal, on the first lvl where you get out of the crashed prison ship... where there are no enemies at all... now that was brilliant.

Oh, and in AvP with the Marine... the motion detector really ups the tension.

Without that infernal beeping the game would lose half it's atmosphere... and it made you feel invincible when you were with the Predator...

You might want to check Space Hulk from the 1993 out then. PC not the board game.

:D, dosbox works GREAT if you know how to use it properly :).

Well, started Doom 3 yesterday, and in a dark room, @ 1 pm it's kinda scary. Use a good pair of earphones (like my neckphone). Sometimes you just get the creeps when some thing just pops up outa nowhere screaming his lungs out while he still can :P

I'm enjoying the first Call of Duty at the moment. Excellent game.
