She's ok. I've had better companions in games.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Omega_Destroyer wrote:Neverwinter Nights Diamond is an outstanding value. It includes NWN, Shadows, Hordes, and I think Kingmaker. There are a hundreds of modules you can download and some premium modules that cost $5. Of all of the games I just listed in the above post, I'd say NWN:Diamond is my favorite just because it has so much going for it.
well in that case I'll look for that at EB or something

Original NWN and NWN:SoU are pretty poor games. Very weak and linear plot, tiny locations, monotonous quests.
However NWN:HoU was great. Of course locations didnt became larger (thats engine limitation) but everything else was taken to a new level. I really enjoyed it.

NWN2 is just fine. Not as good as NWN:HoU, but better than original NWN. Im looking forward to play MotB

I'd place HotU higher than SoU but maybe it's just me. It did not seem as intriguing even if anything dealing with Netheril is cool :D
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I like Hordes better, but I think story-wise Shadows has more going for it.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Yeah, maybe the story doesn't struck me much that's why I cannot remember any about them.

It won't be for a very, very long time. They have Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, and Knights of the Old Republic 3 to make first.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Just played through NWN 2 and Mask of the Betrayer couple days ago and already started new game (entered Highcliff at the moment). I have to say that story ( and graphics-wise obviously) NWN2 is lot better than first NWN. Also Mask of the Betrayer is quality expansion with one of the best stories you can find from the games (I'd mark it on bar with the Torment actually) and the NPC characters were both interesting and had depth of their own (like in Torment).

Khelgar: "Bah. If you want to raise your children like pack of wolves, listen to tree-worshipper."
Neesha: "And if you want to raise your children like idiots, listen to Khelgar."
Thundermaps
"Death must be impartial. I must sever my ties, lest I shield my kin."

Just quickly here. I downloaded some cool icons for NWN. New looking Potions, Gems, etc. They are in 2ga. They will not work in the override folder. I've alreaady tried. The readme with what I downloaded says I must put them in the baseitems 2DA file. Okay then. What tool do you use to open the baseitems 2DA file? I've experimented with the NWN Packer, but that does'nt work. And the hak.exe does'nt work either. Any help?

I'm excited! I just got a Free Download Manager and was able to DL the 1.68 update! 70.3 Mb is a lot for a dial up. But the FDM made it more bearable. Better late than never, I guess. Anyway, I can't wait to try out some of those Mods for 1.68. And to see the Robes on the Characters and the Underwater stuff. I'm jacked!

There's also a patch 1.69 coming soon (it's in beta 11 now) that will have A LOT more features than 1.68 ;) Seriously, it's like an expansion (without the campaigns that is). It includes: rideable horses, new tilesets, new placeables, new creatures, the new Purple Dragon Knight prestige class, and other new incredible stuff :)

But it'll probably be big, and thus a pain for your Dial-up connection :(

Oh, and the problem is that this new content won't "magical" appear in the current campaigns/modules. We'll have to play modules designed for 1.69 to encounter the horses, etc...
No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.

Hmm, never particularly enjoyed Nwn that much after the introduction of IMBA spell system with the Isaac's Greater Missile Storm and the Bigby's stuff :disagree:

They aren't going to fix that in the last patch, am I right? :|
