Now where did I hear this before... :)

The title gives me the impression of something deep and intriguing. The pictures from the first link show a... nice, but improvable, world. Ah, well. ;|

what worries me are just four races : humans, orcs, elves, and dwarves
ok,homm started with same number but with somehow more original ones,so lets hope they can create good game and become successful franchise like homm one day

At first glance, this looks like Battle for Wesnoth in 3D. I'd say it's worth keeping an eye on.

TBS games are good news.

And it seems as Russia is the new epicenter of TBS games:
Gamespot wrote: For our part, we think the title is showing some definite promise, but then we're always excited by the prospect of new turn-based properties. It seems that Russia may be the new epicenter for TBS game development, so we're hoping that Mythic Wars will respark some of our former love for the fantasy turn-based genre. Only time will tell, as the game is still well away from release.

Nice to see TBS games returning. But I have seen this before, I mean green orcs and goblins. Why not turn the orcs blue or brown for one time sake, the orcs and goblins in DM and hopefully H5 are at least the most unique version I have seen this far.

Sigh 4 very well known races yet again. Trash can humans, mining dwarves, green orcs (which looks like orcs from WC,SF etc) and noble arrogant elves.
The game looks like Spellforce but dosent have the nice graphics and interesting concept. But its looks promising in some way anyway, and I hope it will make some innovations and success.

Wow, that looks really nice. The graphics though seem to have the glass-like look I'm not too keen on. But the rest looks appealing :-D
This minor magical charm captures the viewer's attention and distra... ooo, pretty...

Three 'epic' campaigns? Then what?

Fantasy Wars is a turn-based strategy game set in a fantasy world. Combining both classic strategy gameplay and sophisticated 3D graphics players can experience epic battles like never before.

Taking place in a fantasy world of Human kingdoms, Orc clans, Dwarfs' citadels and Elven forests the player is thrust into a world of war and legend. Play the role of an Orc or Goblin boss, a captain of the Human army or lead the elite forces of the Elven army. Participate in castle sieges and village defense, assault and reconnaissance operations and swift raids. To be victorious remember that the amount and experience of troops is not always the key factor, organize cooperation between different types of units and use the landscape to achieve strategic superiority.

The game consists of three story-connected campaigns. In each of them players will have to gather an army, upgrade units, find magic artifacts and study magic spells. An epic story has been crafted to draw gamers in. The great Orc chieftain and conqueror Ugraum, incited by the cruel shamans, gathers a huge horde to invade the land of Humans. Only a small, but experienced army of general Pfeil is able to fight against the powerful enemy. However the sides in this confrontation don't know that this is all just a part of evil plot of the dark powers.
